top abbreviations: “quantity” adjectives

The common theme here is “how much”, as in, “How much time can you save by learning these hidden abbreviations??”

I’ve crunched the numbers myself and the answer is . . . A LOT!!!

These words are so common in the English language that it really pays off when you learn their shortest abbreviations:

    amt        amount

    mny        many

    evy         every

    sm          some

    mr          more

    tw          two

The word “every” is part of mny other compound words.  You might already use the abbreviation evr, but evy works more consistently in the long words:

evye        everyone (instead of the longer evrye or evryn)

evywr      everywhere (instead of the longer evrwhr)

Right now, evre and evrwr would not expand to the compound words above.  So, it’s probably easier to train your fingers to type evy, which works across the board.

    :-)
