winter break skill builders: subscribe to a word-a-day site

Remember my earlier tip about learning new words?  Get a boost over winter break!! 

Visit your favorite vocabulary-building website each morning, or subscribe to a word-a-day list and have a new word emailed to you every day.  You can even get a "vocabulary word of the day" text message sent right to your phone!

Also, check out the word-a-day service right on the Kyp’s Tips blog.  We chose that particular word-a-day service because the vocabulary words are about "just right" for transcribers working in secondary and college settings.  You can use the buttons there to add that word-a-day service to your iGoogle homepage, Yahoo! homepage, or your favorite RSS feed.
