use short, complete sentences

Do you looooove long sentences??  Readers prefer short, complete sentences . . .

Real-time communication access is different from other forms of writing.  Adjust your writing style accordingly, during the Planning stage of your transcribing.  Here are 3 reasons why it's better to use short sentences rather than long, complex sentences:

    • Short, complete sentences are easier to parse and understand, for readers at any language level.
    • Short, complete sentences are faster to process.  That makes it easier for readers to keep up with the fast flow of information in a class or meeting.
    • Shorter sentences make it easier for readers to find their place in the transcript after looking away from the screen.
